Computer Recycling Day

Net Source would like to hold a computer recycling day where everyone can bring thier old machines in for recycling. We will have to charge $12.00 per system. Will this price stop you from recycling?

will you be able to check the computers before we recycle them to find out if they are any good and if they have fixable problems?

why are you charging for them? Can or are you recycling them? If you get working computers do you donate them to families in Grand Isle County or tear them down and keep and recycle working components?
And who recieves the monies collected for the recycling? Is that the charge to dispose of them?
Is it one charge per person if you have multiple computers to recycle?

If we decide to have the recycling day computers would not be checked on that day. They would be placed in recyle containers and shipped to a recycling center.
If you have computers that you would like to have checked to see if they are fixable we do that everyday. Please call the office at (802) 372-4101 to schedule an appointment.

Net Source is charging to cover the cost of having the Recycle center provide containers and for hauling fees.
Net Source is not currently associated with an organization to donate usable computers to Grand Isle County families. However we do have a standing agreement with the GISU school district to donate computers to them that meet thier requirements.
Net Source has to pay the recyling company for each computer so the cost would be based on how many computers the customer brings in. If any parts are usuable we certainly recycle them to keep them from our landfills.
